British Marine Federation - British presence swells at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2010, 23-31 january 2010

The British Marine Federation (BMF) will be a real force to be reckoned with at this year’s Düsseldorf Boat Show, known as “boot Düsseldorf”, from 23 to 31 January.

As well as having ten member companies present on the BMF stand, an additional 26 UK companies have booked their own stands at next month’s influential marine event. 

As the world’s largest show for maritime sport and lifestyle, the show offers a perfect opportunity for British companies to put their products and services in front of customers from all over the world. UK Trade & Investment is supporting these activities as part of its commitment to helping UK companies win business overseas. 

A selection of the UK companies exhibiting at the show is outlined below. 

Azure Dragon – stand 7B28 

Azure Dragon designs and produces stainless steel sail sculptures, trophies and prizes for some of the world's most prestigious regattas. These are unique in design and have been presented at numerous national, European and world Championships. The full range of trophies will be available to view on their stand.

Southerly – stand 16B19 

With over 35 years experience in the boat building industry, Northshore has become respected for its quality of build and renowned for combining traditional skills, together with the latest technology. With continued expansion over recent years, Northshore is now the largest sail boat manufacturer in the UK, building Southerlys to order, to individual customer specification, for clients from around the world. The Southerly brand has become internationally recognised as the market leader for variable draft cruising yachts. Three Southerlys will be available to view on the stand, including the new Southerly 49 which will see its European premiere at the show.

Rustler Yachts - stand 16D10 

Rustler Yachts are exhibiting at the Düsseldorf Boat Show for the first time, located next to the BMF stand. The company has a worldwide reputation for building high quality yachts, ranging from small day boats, which will be exhibited at the show, to larger blue water cruisers (24-58ft).

Boot Düsseldorf takes place at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre from 23 to 31 January 2010, from 10.00am to 6.00pm daily. In 2009 the event attracted 238,000 visitors, both from Europe and further afield, and this year’s event is expected to be another huge success, featuring over 1,600 exhibitors from 60 different countries.
