Hella Marine - Addition of 5nm masthead rounds out nav lamp package

Any vessel, whether commercial, recreational or military, benefits from the safety and security provided by high visibility.

With the introduction of its new NaviLED PRO 5 nm masthead lamp, Hella marine now offers boat owners and operators a complete and ultra-durable navigation lamp package for vessels up to 46m.

The year 2014 marks the tenth anniversary of the NaviLED PRO line gaining international certifications. Proven performers with a worldwide reputation for reliability, NaviLED PRO lamps boast IMO COLREG, USCG, RINA, ABYC A-16 and BSH approval. Hella's exacting photometric testing of every individual NaviLED PRO lamp assures their compliance with intensity and cut-off requirements of international navigation lamp standards.

The water-tight 5nm masthead light is IP67 rated. Its durable housing stands up to the toughest conditions, with excellent resistance to impact, corrosion and UV rays. The light is also fitted with an extra heavy-duty Grilamid lens, developed especially for its strength and ability to withstand the harsh marine environment.

Multivolt circuitry, exclusive to Hella marine, ensures reliable service with 12 or 24V systems, and across a range of DC inputs, such as 8-28V or 9-33V. The lamps can be counted on for full performance despite low battery voltage or voltage drop over long cable runs.

Besides outstanding durability, NaviLED PRO lamps offer superior energy saving properties. LED efficiency combined with Hella's cutting edge optic technology creates a lighting product that delivers more illumination per watt than is possible with ordinary bulbs.

In addition to the new 5nm masthead lamp, Hella's NaviLED PRO line contains 2nm and 3nm port, starboard and stern lamps, as well as a 3nm masthead lamp. Every model comes with either a white or black shroud, and is pre-wired with marine cable for simple installation. Reverse polarity and spike protected, NaviLED PRO lamps carry a five-year warranty.
