Boats.com, the global online resource for water enthusiasts and part of Dominion Marine Media, today announced its growing YouTube channel has passed one million views.
When it comes to videos for the water enthusiast, the boats.com channel has it covered. Beginning in 2011 with high-definition, high-quality video boat reviews, boats.com has steadily expanded its library of videos, adding engine reviews, how-to videos that teach maintenance and boating skills, and comprehensive coverage of major boat shows.
boats.com’s most watched video, First Run with Seven Marine 557 horsepower Outboard, was shot at the Miami International Boat Show in 2011 and has been watched more than 300,000 times. Its most popular how-to video, How to Restore Faded Gel Coat, has garnered more than 40,000 views since its addition a year ago.
"The growth of the boats.com YouTube channel is gratifying," said John Burnham, editorial director, boats.com. "Video gives our viewers virtual time on the water, and it's also an easy way for people to learn new boating skills. Clearly, we’ve hit some good notes with boaters out there, but we also feel we're just getting started."
“boats.com is evolving into a complete resource for water enthusiasts, with a focus on providing enhanced social experiences across all channels. We are excited to see such success with our YouTube channel, and we will continue to provide engaging content for our fans,” said Sonya Schweitzer, director, boats.com.
In the fall, boats.com will expand its international coverage and library with more video boat reviews, how-to and product videos, and boat show coverage in Europe as well as the U.S.
boats.com is the single global online resource for boat enthusiasts to explore, discover, manage and share in one destination.
